A poem and an image of text from which the poem is derived. The transcription of handwritten and almost illegible doctor’s notes has unintended consequences - it becomes poetic and surreal. What happens when something is lost in translation? A poem about misunderstandings and miscommunication, partIy deriving from my background in the health sector. In the context of the doctor/patient relationship there are always power dynamics at play; language is a tool of power; and poor communication is frequent. PDF part 1 PDF part 2
